On the main road and rail route through Arthur’s Pass and across the Southern Alps from Christchurch, Greymouth sees its fair share of travellers taking advantage of outstanding budget accommodation. Once you’ve enjoyed the Monteith’s Brewery tour, outdoor adventures including rafting, canyoning and quad-biking can fill another couple of days.
