Zhongshan Park, with its three sides surrounded by mountains, faces the Huiquan Bay in the south. The Cherry Blossoms Festival is hold in the Zhongshan Park from the middle period of April to the early period of May every year. Tens of thousands of visitors flock to the Zhongshan Park to see the cherry blossoms in full blooming. There are many dozens of different cherry tree varieties in Zhongshan Park, most of which bloom for just a couple of days in spring. First celebrated in 1930s, the Cherry Blossoms Festival in Zhongshan Park has a history of more than 70 years, which makes Zhongshan Park to be the city’s biggest spring tourist attraction every year.
