China Canal Culture Museum is well-known construction in the world that symbolizes the culture and tourist.
The museum covers an area of 10,000 square meters with three functional districts: Displaying Part, Collection Part and Research and Academic Exchange Part. China is the first country that constructs canal. Chinese Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is one of the greatest man-made constructions in the world. It is the outcome of Chinese people’s hard work and wisdom. Liaocheng City in Shangdong province is the area that influenced by the canal culture relatively in early time. Beijing-Hanzhou Grand Canal which was constructed in the Sui Dynasty ran through the west of Liaocheng City. Huitong River in the Yuan Dynasty went through the center of Liaocheng City, which brought economic and cultural prosperity for hundreds of years and abundant canal cultural resources. The museum will introduce systematically the history of canal’s development, canal construction technology and the important culture and its implication on the banks, which will contribute to promoting canal culture a lot.
