Brief introduction to the scenic spot:
It was called “Duoluo Mountain” in Tang Dynasty, later on, Emperor Lizhi of Tang Dynasty let the Tuguhun people settle down to live a life here , so it was renamed “Ease Mountain” then. In Song Dynasty, a monk once cultivated himself here. And in Ming Dynasty, people thought that it looked like a snail (luo for Chinese Pinyin), so it changed into the present Luo Mountain gradually. “Luo Mountain” once ranked first in Pingyuan County (Tongxin County at present) in Qing Dynasty. With an altitude of 2624.5 meters, the highest peak in the mountain range “good man pimple” covers an area of 133,700 mus (mu: a unit of area, 1 mu˜0.0667 hectares) and a forest area of 37,000 mus. The famous scenic spots here are Yunqing Temple and Emperor Ming’s Mausoleum.
