Brief-introduction
This memorial began to prepare to construct in 1963 and open to outside in due form on October 1st, 1964. and its total area reached to about 8,000 m2 including the expanded area later. The whole building is a concrete structure mixed with cement blocks and woods. In front of it is a big square and there are two ponds respectively on its right side and left side. On the top of the gate carved the golden words written by Deng Xiaoping “Shaoshan Comrade Mao Zedong’s Memorial”.
Comrade Deng Xiaoping once visited the memorial and said a word: “What you are displaying is history, which should accord with the true history”.
