The Seven-star Rock scenic area is famous for its risky peaks, strange rocks and fantastic caves and old temples. The spot is mainly composed of the Star Lake and seven hills which scatter in the lake like Ursa Major and it’s named after it. The Star Lake covers an area of 6,490,000 square meters with over 20km embankment, which joins several green small islands. The National Sports Commission built a boating base here.
There are large groups of carved stones in the scenic area and more than 489 stone inscriptions (even-star stone characters) since Tang Dynasty can be found here, which are highly valued in art and scientific research.
The Fairy Maiden Lake in the east is very beautiful. Every time the suns sets, you can enjoy the wonder that the sun is swallowed like a red peal in the mouth of the sleeping Buddha
Between the Seven-star Lake and the Fairy Maiden Rock are the Orient Buddhist Temples, where the tourists can comprehend better the Buddhist allegorical words.
In 1982 the Seven-star Crags was listed among the first state-level key scenery spots.
