Built in 1023 in Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), Weiyuan Tower is located in the center of the county town. The tower is grand and has delicate structure. The base of the tower was built by laying bricks, and each story of the three-story wood tower has unturned eaves that are in the shape of the wings of flying swallow. The tower is a typical Xieshan-style architecture with a distinct roof ridge and is spectacular and majestic.
