Brief introduction:
Putang Scenic Area is a provincial traveling spot, which is famous as an entertainment place. It covers an area of 20 square kilometers in which there are a great many hills and peaks and green valleys. This scenic area has 8 reservoirs, 290 ponds, 18000 acres of forest. Besides, there grows bamboo forest, tea plantation and more than 300 kinds of plants. Some trees are as old as 800 years, and an old ginkgo tree covers an area of 200 square meters, looking like a huge umbrella. In the mountain also wanders plenty of stream and springs with water running all the year around.
Due to the verdant forest, the scenic area has become an ideal place for birds. There are more than 20 sorts of birds inhabiting there. Historically, this area is also a wonderful place to practice Buddhism or Taoism, with 27 temples and shrines in history.
Putang Scenic Area consists of Huangzhuang scenic spots, Jianhu scenic spots and Lingxuan scenic spots.
