Located where the western end of Qinling Mountains joins Minshan Mountain, Zheyang Mountain Forest Park is a unique natural scenic spot with marvelous rocks, gullies and caves. The forest park is composed of three scenic areas: West Steam, East Stream and Yimen Mountain. With an area of more than 30 sq. km, the forest park has more than 120 tourist attractions with grotesque peaks and stones, beautiful streams and waterfalls, deep caves and deep and serene gorges. There are some stone inscriptions in the park. Zheyang Walled Village is the ruins of a county-level regime built in Northern Song Dynasty. The legend has it that once Zhang Sanfeng [A semi-mythical Chinese Taoist who is believed to have achieved immortality and said variously to date from either the late Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty or Ming Dynasty. Zhang is said to have founded Tai Chi Quan (shadow boxing)] stayed in “small Kongdong” and studied Taoism here, and he preached the idea to combine Taoism and Buddhism. And it is said that he ascended to heaven and became an immortal on Yusun Peak.
