Temple of Earth(Ditan) was where the emperors of the Ming and QIng Dynasties made sacrifices the earth gods. Built in 1530, the temple is set in this sleepy wooded park in the northeast of the city. The park comes alive once a year during the Chinese New Year (February) when extravagant Miaohui festivals are held to welcome the spring planting season and to appease the earth gods. Other facilities available at the park include a mini-golf course, a restaurant and a museum.

Activities and events during the fair usually include folk performances, fashion shows and a food street. There are crowded of people there.
