Located in Fangshan District, about 60 kilometres southwest of Beiling, Shihuadong Cave(the Stone Flower Cave) is a enormous cave system with eight different levels. So far only two branches of this system open to tourists. The first branch measures 300 meters in length, and contains a corridor, a pool like a lotus flower, three big halls, and a cave with an inner cave. All these caves are 10 to 20 meters high and 4 to 30 meters wide. The corridor is 2 to 3 meters high and 2 to 5 meters wide. The second branch is 30 meters below the first branch. Its total length is nearly 1,000 meters, and there are lots of stone paths or iron stairs for visitors. Visitors can enjoy stalactites, cobbles, stone curtains, stone pillars, and stone flowers everywhere inside the cave. A trip to the cave is an eye-opening experience.
