Rock Paintings on Black Stone of Boshiwa is huge-scaled and rich contented. It is very important to the history research. The rock paintings were caved on 16 natural huge stones and the area of the paintings is about 440 square meters. They are divided into 4 sections, the east, the west, the south and the north. The south section is situated at the foot of the hill. It is the center section and the top area is 198 square meters. On these huge stones, Buddhist statues were caved, like the Shakyamni, the Bodhisattva and so on. The west section is to the west of south section. There are five sculpture stones in all. These five stones situated in the south and north. On the south one, there is a male statue. The rest four stones are just 100 meters to the right of this one. North section is situated on the top of the mountain, and there are 3 sculptured stones in all. Two of them are situated to the west, the rocks are not very big and the caved statues are also not very big. On the rock to the southeast, there is a long caved stone. This long stone is flat and a picture of six people’s riding is caved on. The contents of Rock Paintings on Black Stone of Boshiwa are mainly of Buddhism. The kind of huge-scaled and elaborately caved rock paintings are rare in China and with high value of researching.
