Qionghai Lake is the second biggest fresh water lake in Sichuan Province. It is situated in the northeast of Lu Mountain and the north of Luoji Mountain. Water in Qionghai Lake is so limpid that you can even see things in it. It takes an area of about 31 square kilometers. Qionghai Lake is just like some plateau lakes in China to some extent, it is so quiet. In spring, if you go boating on Qionghai Lake, you will find that you are traveling in a landscape painting. Swallows singing, peach blooming, everything is new and fresh. In summer, water is limpid, and mountains and temples reflect their images on the lake, you will astonished by the quietness of Qionghai Lake. In autumn, the air is fresh and the sky is so high, you will find Qionghai Lake is really a heavenly lake. In winter, the running and jumping waves of Qionghai Lake will remind you the white ducks swimming in the ponds or rivers. The magnificent and graceful scenery of Qionghai Lake matches the night scenes of Xichang city and the bright moon well. This is what people called Bright Moon In Qionghai Lake. Qionghai Lake has been recorded in several books. In Travels of Macro Polo, Macro Polo said that Qionghai Lake was really beautiful. There were green grass and lots of fish, and pearls were also very huge in it. What is more, climate here was much better than that in Mediterranean. This was really a pearl in Oriental. In the works of Zhuqi, a famous professor of Central University, Qionghai Lake was scribed like this: I have been to many lakes, like the West Lake, the Dongting Lake, the Tai Lake, and the Poyang Lake. In my opinion, they are all beautiful and different from each other, but I think, Qionghai Lake is much quiet. This is what Qionghai Lake better than the others.
