Qingdaoshan Hill, 128 meters in height, is the second highest mountain in the Qingdao city. The emplacement relic lies on the south hillside of the Qingdaoshan Hill, also called Jingshan Emplacement. It was built in the last period of Qing Dynasty. A large-scale Underground Command Post was built here by Germen during their invasion to Qingdao 1897. It is the most completely preserved, biggest and best equipped underground military building relic during the First World War in China. It is also the only First World War battlefield relic in Asia.
