Duyun City owns a natural Karst garden, which is rare in the country. It consists of seven rock peaks full of scraggy stones, showing various shapes and providing growing place for over 20,000 various trees and vines. In the rear mountain of the garden, people built River Watch Pavilion and Morning Sunlight Pavilion, where tourists can enjoy the view of whole city when overlooking.
Jian River flows for distance of 91.2 km in Duyun, forming a water area of 1152.6 sq. km. Its main streams, namely, Gujiang, Yangliujie, Bainan, Mubiao, Bangshui, Sancha, Gaoji, Tongzhou and Wangjiasi Rivers, join in the city center, which was called “nine dragons join in the river” in the history. Standing among the crossing streams, different districts of Duyun City are linked by over 100 bridges of various types built in different historic periods, which forms a “bridge city in plateau” with unique scene.
In the center of the bridge city lies a world-famous flagstone ancient street, which stands on the slope in the middle of Guanghui Road. About 300 meters long, the street is completely paved with stones, domestic houses on both sides being wooden houses of ancient style. It is the first archaized building group of street in Guizhou Province.
