Brief introduction of the scenic spot:
It was originally a village practicing the “primitive commune system”, which merely had more then ten boat-shaped thatched houses. Men keep long hair, tie it up in a bun on the forehead and wreath a red or black cloth round the head. They wear wraparound coat with no collars. Women wear facial tattoos, barrel skirt with embroidered designs, embroidered scarves and wraparound coats with no buttons. They have a preference for adornments such as earrings, chaplets and bangles. After liberation, their clothing customs have changed. Women are dressed in national costumes only on festivals or when greeting tourists. They no longer wear facial tattoos. Almost all of them live in tiled houses. Both males and females go to school. That is where the area of the Li Nationality is relatively advanced. The tourist stockaded village is run by the local people of the Li Nationality. It has buildings such as bamboo houses with the characteristics of the Li Nationality, displaying all kinds of working tools, living utensils, entertainment devices of the Li Nationality.
