Meidaizhao Lamasery, built by a former Mongolian leader named Alatanhan in Ming Dynasty, was his official residence as well as a temple where people and Buddha live together.

The Lamasery has a total area of 4,000 square meters and it is unique in architecture. There are out-extended seats on four corners, on which stands corner towers. After entering the gateway, tourists will see the Hall of Sakyamuni and there are colorful frescos vividly painted on both sides of the hall. Those frescos enjoy high artistic value. Next to the Hall of Sakyamuni stands a three-story high building, where Alatanhan and his wife receive worship.
