Liangshan Yi Slavery Society Museum is a building with traditional Yi Natinality architecture style. With a green mountain in the back and Qionghai Lake in the front, the famous Liangshan Yi Slavery Society Museum is standing in the prosperous trees. Liangshan is the biggest Yi habit place in China. At the early time of 50s, slavery was still kept in most part of Liangshan area. After the democracy reform in 1956, Liangshan got into the socialism society. In order to keep the materials and objects of slavery society and research them, this Liangshan Yi Slavery Society Museum was built. It was opened on the 4th of August, 1985. Liangshan Yi Slavery Society Museum shows the politics, economies, military, astronomy, calendar, customs, religions, agriculture, stocking raising, and handicraft of Yi Nationality. It also helps people to get to know the long history of Yi Nationality.
