It lies in the north of Dajinkou of the Mount Tai District; it starts from Lihuang Reservoir in its south, borders national forest Park in its north, and the main peak of Mount Tai in its west and is adjacent to Mata Town of Daiyue District in its east. It is said that it is the hometown of Gandang, the legendry hero of Mount Tai. With a total length of 7.5 kilometers, Jinxiu Valley occupies an area of 12 square kilometers; it is 15 kilometers from the downtown area of Tai’an and 30 kilometers from the downtown area of Jinan. Jinxiu Valley is a new bright point of the scenery in Mount Tai. It is a comprehensive tourist scenery attraction which integrates ecological agricultural sightseeing, folk performance and spending holidays.
