The Jinggang Mountain is already well-known for its revolutionary history and has become the base of education in patriotism and revolutionary tradition. However, the scenic splendours have not yet been heard by many people. Here, mountains are towering, high and steep. And the natural scenery is beautiful and charming throughout the year. The sights are imposing, steep, beautiful, unusual, deep and secluded. It is already early spring on the ground, with flowers blooming while there is still light frost and some remaining snow high on the mountain. In the deep valley, the flowers are in bud while the plums are blossoming on the icy cliffs. The mountain slope exposed to the sun, the flower buds are bursting, and the mountain peaks are covered and decorated by azaleas blooming red, yellow and pink. In spring, there is heavy frog or dim mist everywhere and any time, which make the region a visionary and heavenly place. The mist is also like the veil over the face of the lass which could give you some mystique. In summer, it is scorching and blazing on the ground while delightly cool high on the mountain. The average temperature is around 24? and the maximum temperature is between 27?and 31?. There is singing birds and fragrant flowers everywhere and cool clear spring water trickling down the mountain side. It always happens that the clear blue sky becomes covered by dense black clouds in a moment and heavy rain pours down. When the shower is over, the clouds dissipate and the sun comes out again. Bright sunshine sheds on the thick forest and the verdant grass and it becomes pleasantly cool like a cool islet. Thus it is a wonderful summer resort and convalescence region.
In autumn, the Jinggang Mountain has a pleasant climate with clear sky and crisp air. There is a lot of sunshine and less rainfall. The wild fruits ,such as yangtao or actinidia sinensis and chestnut ,become ripe in succession. The scent of osmanthus flowers and orchid flowers is wafted everywhere of the valley by the breeze. Leaves of the plants turn from green to yellow or light red gradually ;leaves of maple trees are as red as fire and the white clouds are floating in the azure sky .In winter , frost and snow is representative scene of the Jinggang Mountain When whirling snowflakes are falling down from the sky, mountain ranges are covered by beautiful pure white snow and lucent ice .Also the crests of pines ,China firs and high bamboos are covered by thick snow. Then it looks like that the whole mountain is in white, splendid attire and the forest made of white jade. What a beautiful enchanting landscape! If there is cold rain by chance, all the branches look like frosted glass ,sparkling and crystal-clear. Under the lofty cliff and branches there are pieces of stalactites-like icicles, clusters white-jade-like ice –druses, the crystal-like icicles hung down from the trees, and the ice-covered bushes which look like jade-made coral trees ,all together made a splendid glaze–like world. Lifted the veil of mystique ,the Jinggang Mountain shows to the world its great and shaking beauty. Among the mountains where the great men once fought. Some traces of fighting still remained. Those great men are gone for ever, but the mountain forests are lively still, flourishing and thriving ,which make people sigh with emotions. On the bank of river which is silent without the noise of guns stands a high majestic monument . When it is sunny , you can get a bird view of the majestic scenes. Sometimes after showers ,the wind begins to blow suddenly and clouds also come. This scene is just like a review of that turbulent history . By the place of the Five waterfalls in the Dragon Pool which are running non-stop ,it is noisy as thunder and speedy as lighting ,It is also a wonderful imaginary place . It is representative of our nation spirit which is pulsating restlessly. Over there are the big villages mixed with small ones line up ,where the customs are still simple . You can well experience the spirit of revolutionary base in the mountain area by seeing the villagers` hospitalities. When the sun sets and you stand in a high position , looking at the lamplights , you can feel your thoughts are thronging in your mind . The recalling of the famous creed “a single spark can start a prairie fire ” will make you get lost in the memories of those great men and their impressive characteristics..
