Introduction to the tourist spot
The Grand Lelin temple, which is short for Auspicious Micheng Grand Lelin Temple, was started to construct in 1993. In order to fulfill the requirements of the religious masses in Zhelimu League, the temple was approved by the Tongliao People’s Government. The temple was constructed after the model of Moli Temple (Some one say it grew out of Moli Temple. It is Niku Temple rebuilt in another place. ). The temple was completed in September of 1997. The total investment is over 8 million yuan. It covers an area of 13.5 thousand square kilometers. In 1997, after the approval of the People’s Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it has become a legitimate activity site for Lamaism. There are 18 lama and 13 religious words in this temple. On the fifteenth day of the first month, eighth day of the second month, eighth day of the fourth month, fifteenth day of the sixth month, and twenty-fifth day of the tenth month in the lunar calendar, the temple celebrates Qi Yuan Hui (Wishing Festival), Mani Festival, Ji Xiang Song (Auspicious Songs) and Man Jin Festival.
