Briefing of the Spot:
As the first hunting field open to the public in Qinghai Province, Dulan International Hunting Field covers an area of more than 13,000 hectares and has a chilly plateau continental climate. The vegetation will turn green every May, and show a great variety. Ravines, slopes in the shade or facing the sun are all covered with shrubs, which are distributed in small areas. The sunny side and half sunny-side of slopes are overgrown with herbs, offering wild animals with a perfect place to live and multiply. The main animals hunted are chamois. The hinting fielding are endowed with a large variety of animals such as deer, sleeps, leopards, antelopes, foxes, wolfs, hares, pheasants and so on.
The filed has meandering mountains and a flat valley bottom and has an average altitude of about 4,200 meters. It is quite dry here. It has sound ecological environment and is exuberantly overgrown with herbs, presenting a perfect place for wild animals. The field has a wealthy variety of wild animals. Besides more than 2,000 chamois, there are other animals such as musk deer, deer, wolfs, foxes, hares, pheasants and so on. Dulan International Hunting Field is located 550 kilometers away from Xining, the provincial capital. When you travel across Riyue Mountain, Qinghai Lake, we will enjoy a plentiful of the beautiful scenery of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, adding great fun to your travel. The hunting field is divided into two spots, namely Balong and Gouli, with an area of more than 19,000 and 25,000 hectares respectively. In order to run a game-like hunting field, about 6 tourists will be received each time. When the hunting begins, relevant facilities will be moved in, when it is finished; they will be moved out, together with hunting carts and hunting horses. When tourists are hunting, they will be guided by a guide. When they have acquired some preys, the guide will deal with the prey according to tourists’ requirements. The hunting field is accompanied by both Chinese and Western style restaurants. In the evening, you can enjoy Tibetan and Mongolian lifestyle; enjoy yourself with songs and dances and special food. In the field, there is Mongolian tent-style accommodation, which is not only clean, warm and delicate, but is symbolic of cultures and customs of the ethnic minorities. The hunting field is also equipped with hunters, interpreters, doctors, cooks and so on, in order to promise you gracious hospitality.
