Built during Tiansan Period of North Sung Dynasty (1023-1032), Ciyun Pagoda, with precious ancient annual scriptures on it, is well preserved as a provincial relic protective unit in Gannan. It stands 9 stories and 42 meters in height and is a hexagon in cross section. It is constructed with green bricks. On the top of each story, brick-built eaves are formed and carved into a kind of up-curving shape called Dougong and the top of the whole pagoda is built in the shape of a lotus.
