Sheshan Goddess Church, also named Sheshan Catholicism Church is the main pilgrimage bethel in China’s coastal area. Zhongshan Church was built in 1894, and the Shanding Hall, designed by Mr. Ye Zhaochang-a Portuguese chiliast was added in 1925. The whole construction reveals Rome style. There stands a copper Goddess figure at the top f the church. Sheshan Goddess Church was honored to be the Second Class hall by Rome Church in 1942.
