1. Shuangqiao Valley
Shuangqiao Valley is the only spot that needn’t ride a horse when visiting among all spots in Mountain Siguniang. It is famous for the snow peak, the farm land, the grassland, the forest, etc. Shuangqiao Valley is the most beautiful valley among those of at Mountain Siguniang.
Shuangqiao Valley is 7 kilometers far away from Rilong town. The length of the whole spot is 34.8 kilometers, with the area of 216.6 square kilometers. The best travel way is taking a bus + walking. It is very difficult to walk at some sections. The best sight here is Nianyuba Path. It shows people the harmonization of beauty and grandness at this resort.
The scenic area is divided into 3 parts. Up till now, there are over 20 spots at Shuangqiao Valley. Visitors can see tens of snow hills with altitudes of over 4000 meters. The front section includes Yangliu Bridge, Yin-Yang Valley, the white poplar forest, the Baojing Hill of the sun and moon, the Colorful Hill, etc. The middle section is Nianyuba Path, including Renshengguo ground, the sea buckthorn forest, Jianshan Hill, Jiujia Sea, etc. The back section is mainly famous for Niupengzi Grassland and Changhe Beach, including Api Hill, the Hunter Peak, the Blood Wall, Niupenzi Grassland, Changhe Dam, etc. The cliffs of the Ancient Ape Peak, the Hunter Peak, the Eagle’s Beak Cave, and the Golden Chicken Hill are the nature miracles. Besides, the Colorful Hill, Wangyue Peak, Shexin Cave, the Sexy Valley are fantastic, too. Some peaks at Shuangqiao Valley are the ideal places for mountaineering.
The admission fee of Shuangqiao Valley is 40 RMB. The ticket of the travel bus is 60 RMB. Introduction of the spots are shown in the TV of the travel bus. It takes about 3 hours to travel in the bus. The travel bus stops at the fixed five places, so that visitors can see the spots and take pictures. The rest time is always between half an hour and one hour.
Generally, visitors can spend half day in visiting at Shuangqiao Valley, since the new road was open here. However, the road divided the scenery into two parts. More badly, the nature beauty is destroyed by the road. Many visitors think that Changping Valley and Haizi Valley are much better than Shuangqiao Valley because of the destruction.
After finish traveling Shuangqiao Valley, visitors can go to Danba by bus. It takes about 100 kilometers to get to Danba. The road condition of this section is quite good. If drive further 20 kilometers, visitors can arrive at Jiajinshan Scenic Area.
2. Changping Valley
The total length of Changping Valley is 29 kilometers, with the area of 100 square kilometers or so. Mountain Siguniang is just situated 16 kilometers far away Changping Valley. Only some sections of road could be driven. Visitors can only walk or ride a horse at the left sections. Visitors can arrive at the foot of Mountain Siguniang along Changping Valley. Visitors can also arrive at Lixian County by passing Bipeng Valley.
There are old paths, lamaseries, Ganhaizi Pond, waterfalls, and unique stones in this area. In spring, kinds of flowers and rape flowers are in blossom; in fall, red birches and red maples cover the whole valley. Moreover, lush green pine trees stand straightly year after year; waterfalls flow with loud sound; and old paths traverse the whole valley.
Visitors can arrive at Kushu Beach easily. It costs 50 RMB to ride a horse at this section. As there are some steps and paths in this scenic spot, it is easy for people to walk and visit. But, if visitors want to go further, there is no good path. All they need are riding horses to travel. As a matter of fact, the most charming scenery is situated at further distance. Meanwhile, it is very difficult to walk. Therefore, visitors have to spend more money and time. If they can walk down at the foot of Mountain Siguniang, then they can experience the local custom and life at Changping Valley by living one night there and barbecuing a whole goat.
Generally, visitors like Changping Valley better, because they can take part in the activities there, such as riding a horse to get through the primitive forest, seeing the snow hills, listening to the amazing music played by streams, etc. If visitors are willing to experience the nature life, they can camp with tents at the grasslands.

It generally takes one day to travel at Changping Valley. No lunch is available at the spot. So visitors should bring food by themselves.

3. Haizi Valley
Haizi Valley has 19.2 kilometers in length, with an area of 126.48 kilometers. In the valley, there are over ten ponds. The water in those ponds is very clear. It is charming to see the reflection of the blue sky, the white cloud and the hills in the ponds. There are ancient fishes without scale still living in those ponds.
As a matter of fact, Haizi Valley is the most beautiful valley of the three valleys in Mountain Siguniang. The scenery here is quiet different with that of at Shuangqiao Valley and at Changping Valley. At the front half section, there is mainly the grassland. It is the best place to visit the sights of Mountain Siguniang. It is also the best place to take pictures. On every May 5th of the lunar calendar, Tibetan people hold a grand ceremony of pilgrimage to Mountain Siguniang.
At the left half section of Haizi Valley, there are mainly the charming ponds. Some ponds have the altitudes of 4200 meters. It is very difficult to arrive there.
Visitors can only walk on foot or ride a horse in this valley. It takes one day to visit all spots. But, visitors can enjoy the true beauty of Haizi Valley if they camp one night at the valley.

Haizi Valley is the thoroughfare for the mountaineers to climb Mountain Siguniang. Generally, mountaineers first enter Haizi Valley, then walk or ride a horse to No. one Camp and the base camp. Then they start to climb the Grand Peak, the second peak, the third peak, and the major peak.
Mountaineers always choose to climb the Grand Peak, the Second Peak, the Third Peak, and the Fourth Peak, whose altitude is 5355 meters, 5454 meters, 5664 meters, 7556 meters successively.
Visitors can succeed in climbing the Grand Peak only if they have enough courage. Some 60 or 70 year-old foreign men or women once climbed the Grand Peak. Even a handicapped man from Korea climbed the Grand Peak.
In recent years, some mountaineers have started to climb the Second Peak. It is not too difficult to climb the Second Peak if they have common sense of climbing and have a good guide. A fewer people climbed the Third Peak. Up till now, only a few people climbed the fourth peak, because of its high altitude, the unstable weather and dangerous climbing line. Unprofessional mountaineers had better not climb the Fourth Peak as there are so many unfavorable factors.

Laoniu Courtyard is the base camp for mountaineers, mainly Japanese mountaineers. It takes about 4 hours, with the mileage of 15 kilometers.
The mountaineers can choose their own camps near the base camp as their No. one camp.
It takes about 3 hours from the base camp (No. one Camp) to No. 2 Camp on foot.
It takes about 4 hours to get to the Grand Peak from No. 2 Camp.

It is 221 kilometers far away from Chengdu city, and 20 kilometers from Lixian urban area. The total length of this valley is about 45 kilometers, and the width is 4 kilometers or so. The whole area is 180 square kilometers. The altitude is between 2400 meters to 4500 meters.
The south of Bipeng valley is connected with Changping Valley. It is close to the famous Lingquan spring at Gu’er Valley in the northeast. Bipeng valley is a famous place for visitors to travel on foot. Visitors can experience the beauty of Mountain Siguniang and the natural scenery of the valley. Every year, thousands of visitors are attracted by the travel line. It takes 3 or 4 days to get through the valley. Before travel, visitors need to prepare enough clothes, food, equipment, etc. Moreover, a local guide and a good horse are also necessary. It is famous for the charming natural scenery, perfect ecological scenery and good ecological environment in Bipeng Valley. There are kinds of red leaves and azaleas. Besides, streams, primitive forest, waterfalls, glaciers are also quite famous here.

Xianghongdian scenic spot is located in the Xibin valley. The main scenic spots are Xianghongdian Reservoir, Qishan Mountain, and Lotus Mountain and so on.
Xianghongdian Reservoir: it is located over Xibin River, Zhujiawan Village, Xianghongdian Township. The dam is a concrete gravity dam with concentric circles of radius. The dam is 875 meters high and its arc length is 304 meters. It seems lying across mountains and flying in the clouds. The traffic mileage of the reservoir is more than 20 kilometers. The waves, mist, clean water, the erect peaks on both sides and the green trees make it known as the Small Guilin in Wanxi.
Qishan Mountain: it is among Xiangqi Office of the reservoir and the Xianghongdian Village. One side is depending on the mountain and the other three sides are surrounding by the water. It was recorded on the history of Liu’an that Qishan Mountain was named for its flat alpine peaks. Qishan Mountain is full of fogs. It was one of the famous eight scenic spots in old time.
Lotus Mountain: it is in Lotus Riverside, Youfangdian Township. It gained its name for some stone on the mountain like lotus. It includes Eastern Lotus, Western Lotus. The two mountains are 5 kilometers apart. On the mountain, there are many scenic spots such as Lingbei Stone, Longtan Stone, and Yanzi Stone and so on. Furthermore, there are many famous people’s inscriptions on the stone.
