Lei Feng Memorial was constructed in 1964 and repaired in 1992. Now the new memorial, a two-floor building, covers an area of 56700 square meters with the shape of a red flag. The five Chinese characters (in Pinyin: Lei Feng Ji Nian Guan) which means Leifeng Memorial were inscribed by Jiang Zemin, the former president of PRC. Lei Feng Memorial is one of the first arrays of key cultural relics under protection designated by the nation. The main exhibitions in the Memorial include Lei Feng Monument, Lei Feng Cemetery, and Lei Feng Story Exhibition Hall.
There are the round hall and the exhibition hall on the first floor. At the center of the round hall stands a 4.7-meter-high copper statue of Lei Feng. The wall of the round hall is painted with large-scale frescoes for decoration. Besides, there are more than 400 files or documents of Lei Feng, including over 140 pictures and inscriptions for extolling Leifeng by more than 20senior Chinese leaders, such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping, etc.
The second floor is the exhibition of stories of Fushun People learning from Lei Feng. It displays the positive and progressive models of the people in Fushun in learning from Leifeng, pictures of Chinese leaders visiting the Leifeng Memorial in Fushun. The story of Lei Feng moves the latter generations and therefore the spirit of “Serving the People” of him is not and will never fall behind the time when we largely promote the socialist spiritual and moral standards.
Lei Feng Monument stands on the principal axis of the Memorial. It is constructed with granite of 13.4 meters high. On the front surface of the monument engraves seven big Chinese characters by Chairman Mao meaning “Learning from Comrade Lei Feng”, and at the lower part of the monument embedded a basso-relievo made of white marble. Lei Feng Memorial is encircled by green pines and emerald cypress. Behind it lies a gray granite stele the back of which is carved with life stories of Lei Feng.
On the square in front of the cemetery stands the five-meter high full-body statue of Lei Feng. Lei Feng Story Exhibition Hall displays to us the real stories of Lei Feng’s 22-year short life. Lei Feng Memorial has become an important front for further introducing Lei Feng spirit to the public and conducting studies on Lei Feng.
Lei Feng (1940-1962) was born in a poor family in Changsha City, Hunan Province and his parents were peasants. After the liberation of People’s Republic of China, thanks to the care and consideration of the Communist Party of China and central government, Lei Feng was offered the opportunity to receive education. Graduated from primary school, he found a job in Changsha and later participated in socialist construction in various places, winning a lot of rewards for his excellent performance. In 1960, Lei Feng joined the army and CPC in October of the same year. He made much contribution to the society and won wide rewards and extol. Unfortunately, he passed away on August 15th, 1962 when he was only 22 years old.
“Life is limited; however, serving the people is infinite. I will make good use of my limited lifetime and contribute it to infinitely serving the people…”—this is what Lei Feng said and put into practice as well.
Introduction:
Qingfeng Mountain Range boasts of nine ravines and eighteen ranges which are fantastic, unique and rare to see in other places. Its Yulin Ravine Scenic Spot is endowed with continuous hills and grotesque rocks, presenting a natural and vivid picture as terrific as that of Zhangjiajie Scenic Area; Miaogou Scenic Spot is characterized by towering ancient trees, numerous caves and cascades. There are crystal springs among trees and rushing waterfalls hanging on cliffs, creating an exquisite, artistic conception like in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. Grotesque rocks, precipitous peaks, clear springs, rushing waterfalls, mysterious caves and great trees constitute a number of perfect natural pictures.

Qingfeng Mountain Range features grotesque rocks and stones. For example, there is a rock vividly named as “Wukong Capturing the Monster of Lion”. Here, Wukong refers to Monkey King who is standing toweringly with pride and the monster of lion bows it head submissively. It reminds you of the fairyland described in Journey to the West. Qingfeng Mountain Range is rich in spring. For example, Sandie Colorful Springs are famous for the three springs which are piled up geographically and adding glamour to each other. They are mysterious with shining colors under sun and make you wonder whether you are in a fairyland. Qingfeng Mountain Range has abundant legends. For instance, the legends of Shenma (Immortal Horse) Spring and Caves of Immortals as well as the story of Wang Laozao (a brave Chinese citizen against Japanese invaders), etc. Qingfeng Mountain Range is endowed with rich spring water and ancient inscription on cliff which reads “Qingfeng Mountain Range and bright Moon Bridge”. Besides, there are many other scenic spots such as Tingyu Room (a room for appreciating rain drops), Pishan Cypress, Bajie (a pig-like character in Journey to the West) Fantastic Spot, Jinchanwangri (means a big rock with the shape of a toad looking at the sun in the sky), Dishui Kwan-yin, Feilaishi Rock (a rock as if it is flying in the air), Huguo (means protecting the country) Temple, and Maxian (means an immortal horse) Temple, etc.

Qingfeng Mountain Range is also reputed as zhongguodi for memorizing the strong patriotism of Chinese people for safeguarding the country. During the war against Japanese invaders, the whole region of Northeast China was reduced to be the colony of Japanese militarists except Qingfengling Mountain Range, where Wang Laozao an ordinary Chinese citizen refused to be submissive to Japanese invaders and organized his fellowmen to fight for independence with all their efforts.

Silengzi Mount, the main battlefield where Wang Laozao and his fellowmen fought against the Japanese invaders, is precipitous and towering. In order to avoid being caught by the Japanese invaders, they found and covered themselves in a cave. The cave lies in deep forest and hard to be found.

Tourists in Qingfeng Mountain Range can enjoy, to their heart content, the comfortable wind and clear spring water, appreciate the beauty of nature, visit places of historical interests, recall history and leave a good memory to themselves.
The Buddha Grottoes can be divided into eastern and western parts. There are now altogether 430 statues within 20 Caves (shrines). According to inscriptions: the Western section of the grotto was dug and carved by Yingzhou provincial governor Huang to worship the King in the 23rd year of the Northern Wei Dynasty when the emperor Taihe reigned(499 AD). There are now 9 houses that have been well kept which divides in to upper and lower layers. The still relatively intact caves are the first and sixth Caves. Cave No. 1 is the largest, and three Buddha sculptures are carved on the eastern, northern and western walls respectively. Even after later rehabilitation, their features are hard to identify.
The Buddha and the benefactors carved on the square tower pillar in the center of the grotto are all precious relics of the Northern Wei Dynasty.
The eastern section of the grotto was a private grotto consisting of 7 caves, and was carved by the Khitan envoy jointly with the local troops in the 3rd year of the Northern Wei Dynasty when the emperor Jing Ming reigned.
Buddha grotto is the largest as well as the most ancient in Northeast China. They are of great historical and artistic value. Meanwhile the Buddha Grottoes is an integration of cultural landscape and the natural sceneries.
We uses YouTube API Services. https://www.worldtraveldb.com/youtubes-terms-of-service/
