The Bailu Zhou(the Egret Sandbar)is a sandy islet in the Ganjiang River which is 1.5 kilometers long and 0.5 kilometers wide with a shape like a weaver’s shuttle. The sandbar is named so because it looks like an egret .As there are many trees and bamboos towering with canopies of leaves on the sandbar ,it provides good habitat for a great number of birds . At the same time .there shoals of fish and shrimps which are good food for the birds. Thus there are many kinds of birds dwelling on the sandbar among which flocks of egrets can be found. The predecessors got the name of Bailu Zhou or the Egret Sandbar from a poem by Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty who is one of the greatest poets in Chinese history. The poem reads like this “half of the firmament is hidden by the three high mountains, and the river is divided into two from the middle by the Egret Sandbar”.
The Bailu Zhou Academy (or the Egret Sandbar Academy)
Located on the Egret Sandbar, the Bailu Zhou Academy (or the Egret Sandbar Academy)is constructed in 1241,the first year of Chun You’s reign of the South Song Dynasty. The academy was made by the prefecture chief of Ji Zhou for the six greatest Confucianists—Cheng Dazhong, Shao Yong,Zhou Dunyi, Zhang Zai,Cheng Yi and Zhu Xi both as a hall and as an academy. Xuan Zong of the Song dynasty ( the title of an emperor’s reign),1205-1264,.wrote the name for the academy. Together with the Bai Ludong Academy (or the White Deer Cave Academy) of Lushan Mountain ,E Hu Academy (or the Goose Lake Academy)of Qian Shan Mountain, Yu Zhang Academy (or the Great Oak Academy)of Nan Chang, they are referred to as ”the Four Great Academies” of Jiangxi. Many famous people came out of that great academy, such as Wen Tianxiang ,Liu Zhenweng and Deng Guangjian, etc. The academy was also used as the highest academy of the prefecture and has undergone repair and expansion throughout the history. Even now ,the ancientry remains. The Feng Yue Tower(or the Tower of Wind and Moon)has three floors and it is a richly ornamented building with carved beams and painted rafters? The building is imposing and magnificent. Standing on the top floor of the tower ,you can see the vast and might Ganjiang River and you will be free of mind and happy of heart.
As a natural pass connecting Jiangxi province and Guangdong province, the 440 meters high Mei Pass forms the boundary between the provinces of Jiangxi and Guangdong. Convenient to guard against and hard to attack, the steep pass has always been contended by military forces in history. In ancient times, as the only route from south to north or vice versa, it was well-known as the “Majestic Pass of Nanyue” or “First Pass of Lingnan” (Both Nanyue and Lingnan are alternative names for Guangdong.)?Built during the Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty (713—741), the Mei Pass used to be an important thoroughfare crowded with businessmen trading goods in endless quantities. It is also well-known for it connects the inner land with the “Maritime Silk Road” starting from the costal areas. The still remaining history vestiges on Mei Pass are: the wide way for ten wagons at the same time, the Building of Mei Pass, Jieling Bridge,Guangda Bridge, Wangmei Pavilion, Banshan Station,Hongmei Spread, Ancient Courier Station, An Wharf and some engraved stone tablets. The “Red Plum-flowers of Gengling Mount” of the Mei Pass, also known as “Park of Red Plum-flowers”, is widely renowned for the special phenomenon that when flowers facing south are withering, the flowers facing north have just begun blossoming.
We uses YouTube API Services. https://www.worldtraveldb.com/youtubes-terms-of-service/

Wugongshan Mountain, the first peak of Jiangxi Province, is a mountain-style scenic spot integrating cultural attraction and natural scenery. Among the famous mountains in the south of the Yangtze River, it’s the last virgin mountain under exploration, which has been well-known since ancient times for its profound culture. Its total planned tourist area is 160 sq km and it has above 200 planned sights. The whole tourist area is divided into five key scenic spots including Jinding Tourist Zone, Yangshimu Scenic Zone, Nine-Dragon-Mountain Religious Cultural Zone, Fayunjie Relaxation and Entertainment Ground, and the Primitive Ecological Zone at Dawangmiao Temple. Its peaks, caves, waterfalls, stones, clouds, pines and temples form a wonderful natural landscape. In the area, about 100,000 acres of grassy marshland extends upward more than 1,600 meters continuously on the top of the mountain, forming a beautiful contrast with the lofty mountain, which is unparalleled in the world. On the top of the peak are mysterious ancient sacrificial altars with a history of more than 1,700 years. They are seldom seen in China. In addition, tourists are attracted by its magnificent waterfalls down from high mountains, the shining sun behind the dispersing clouds, stalagmite towering into sky, ancient pines growing in grotesque stones, dangerous and steep peaks, well-preserved primitive forests and huge lifelike glossy ganoderma. With a long history and profound culture, Wugongshan Mountain has beenchosen as the cave heaven and blessed region by Taoists and Buddhists to cultivate themselves through meditation since Han and Jin dynasties. In Ming Dynasty, it entered its most flourishing period. Many people went to burn joss sticks and candles. More than 100 Buddhist nunneries, halls, temples and visitor stands were built on the south range and north range of Wugongshan Mountain. Both men and women went there to worship. Admiring its great reputation, a continuous flow of scholars and noble men had been to climb the mountain and to make poems and fu to praise its beautiful landscape since Tang and Song Dynasties. Therefore many precious poems and fu were carved there.
(2) Introduction to the scenic spots
? The Seven-Color Waterfall
It lies in Wanglongshan Mountain. Its Main features: It’s a natural lesser waterfall of five to six meters high, seven to eight meters wide and about 25 cm deep, formed by water conservancy drops. One can have a touch of the water and have a relax. Several huge stones divide it into many small pools one after another.
? Golden-Kettle Splashing Water

It’s located on the Hongyan Valley Scenic Spot in the Jinding Tourist Zone. Its main features: when it’s brimmed with water, it becomes 70 meters wide. The water rushes down powerfully and magnificently from 120-meter-high mountain, splashing raindrops rising, with the rainbow in the misty sun.

? Toad-shaped Rocks
It lies in Diaomazhuang of Jinding Tourist Zone. Its main featues: several bizarre rocks look like toads listening to the sound of the bell from nearby temple with rapt attention, whose legs are sturdy and smooth.
? The white-Crane Taoist Temple
With a long history and rich human cultural scenes, the Bright Moon Mountain is the place of multiplication of religious cultures of China. As early as in the West Han Dynasty when emperor was on power, there is a saying of “Yangshan Ancient Temple” (the famous pilgrim place of Yangshan Dragon King in the ancient time) about the place, and it is also the cradle of Dragon King Bodhisattvas in the country. In the Wei & Jin Dynasty, it was said that Patriarchs of Taoism Gexuan and Gehong had ever made pills of immortality and cultivated vital energy at the Jiyun Peak of Yangshan Mountain. In 841, a Buddhist monk Huiji, the founder of Wei Yang Sect, one of the five major sects of Zen Buddhism of China, founded Qiyin Temple (Taiping Xingguo Temple) at Yangshan Mountain. Since then, Buddhist ceremonies in this temple have been flourished for more than one thousand years, Wei Yang Sect also spread all over the world, and the temple became the Holy Land of ancient Chinese Buddhism; the monks at home and abroad such as monks from India, Korean Peninsula and Japan came to the temple for studying, and there were numerous visitors for sightseeing. Now more than one hundred tomb towers of Buddhist monks built in the Tang Dynasty, the Song Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty have been found in front of and behind the site.

The Bright Moon Mountain is composed of more than ten peaks above 1 kilometer of altitude. They are the Taiping Mountain, the Yujing Mountain, the Laoshan Mountain and the Yangshan Mountain, while the highest peak is the Taiping Mounting with an altitude of 1,735.6m. The whole mountains look like hemicycle and are like a half-moon, so it is called the Bright Moon Mountain.

There are five scenic spots and one holiday zone around the Bright Moon Mountain, they are as follows: the Tanxia scenic spot which is famous for the Yungu waterfall and thousands-mile-high precipice; Taiping mountain scenic spot which is famous for Taiping Mountain sunrise, the grassy marshland in Gao mountains and unique stones; Tangjia mountain scenic spot which is famous for the Wuyunya precipice and the Wuyunya climate meteorological spectacle; the Yangshan scenic spot which is famous for the culture of Zen Buddhism and folk custom; the Yujingshan scenic spot which is famous for the rare plants and jungle wildlife; and the Wentang hot spring holiday tour zone which is famous for the hot spring recuperation, holiday tour, leisure and recreation.
