Diaoshuilou Waterfalls resemble the miniaturized Niagara Falls. Water waves crashing against lava bedrocks are thrown back but roar on, plummeting down from the steep cliffs to the deep plunge pool beneath. The falling water splashes up a misty haze of white and snow-fine water droplets, forming a white ribbon-like mist in the sky as if the Milky Way were flowing back into the pool. The thunderous waterfalls are making a deafening statement. The waterfalls would normally be about 40 meters in width with a drop of 12 meters. In rainy and flood season, Diaoshuilou waterfalls become two or multi-stranded water falls, extending to over 200 meters in width.
The overhanging cliffs on both sides of the waterfalls are craggy and grotesquely precipitous. Looking down into the great abyssal drop, you will be overpowered by a sense of vertigo. A towering and wide-spreading elm tree from prehistoric times stands high and tall among the craggy rocks, becoming a huge canopy made from its dense branches and leaves. Standing on the cliff under the cover of the elm tree canopy is an octagonal pavilion for watching the roaring waterfalls. Metal chains were put around the pavilion, the outlets of the waterfall and the north cliff edges for protection. A hand-chiseled stone-step path leads from the old elm tree down to the plunge pool below. In dry seasons, the pool is smooth and quiet. It is estimated that the pool is 60 meters deep with a diameter of over 100 meters. On fine days, when the sunlight is reflected on the waterfalls, a colorful rainbow is visible. Visitors have never failed to marvel at the spectacular wonder of the nature. As is seen in a poem by some poet, ‘the cascades of waterfalls is like the piles of snows, their thunderous sound audible hundred miles away, the misty rainbow hanging over the plunge pool, morning dews refreshing the green banks’.
The waterfalls were created from volcanic eruptions. When the oozing lava met the cool air, it turned into crust, but under the crust some hot airs of the flowing lava were trapped. When the lava become solid cold, the trapped airs found their escapes through the lava crust, leaving many air bubble holes on the lava crust. These air bubble holes late collapsed to become lava caves of various sizes. When water fell off the crumpled lava caves, a spectacular waterfall was then born.

Longsha Park covers an area of 64 hectares, including 20 hectares of water area. Built in 1904, it is the earliest park of Heilongjiang Province. Since it was built on some ruins in southwestern urban area, and hence it was first named as “Cangxi Garden”. In 1917, it was renamed as Longsha Park. In Chinese Longsha means the northern areas of the Great Wall. The name of Longsha Park was deviated from a famous poem of the ancient poet Libai, one line of which saying “when the general was given bronze tiger and bamboo token (the signal of war), the soldiers would send out to Longsha (the then main battlefield).” Longsha Park has five tourist areas, namely Cultural Tourist Area, Labor Lake Area, Animal Exhibition Area, Entertainment Area, and Flower exhibition area. Cultural tourist area has many cultural buildings, such as classical library tower, river viewing tower, Guan Emperor Temple, Shougong (the God of Longevity) Ancestral Temple, Dengjiang Pavilion. Labor Lake Area is very beautiful and has islands within lakes and lakes within islands. The meandering arched bridges and curved bridges connect the islands and lakes together, while many pavilions, towers, and terraces dot among them. Animal Exhibition Area has hundreds of species, such as Northwestern Tiger, African Lion, Golden Jaguar, Raccoon, Moose, and Red-crowned Crane. Entertainment Area has large entertainment centers and various entertainment facilities, such as electrical space vehicles and mini helicopters. Flower exhibition area has more than 140 kinds of flowers.

The reserve, which is the only provincial marsh natural reserve in Suihua, has an area of 8,292 hectares. It is an “inland marsh and waters ecosystem type” that belongs to “natural ecosystem class”, and is a nature reserve which mainly preserves the waters ecosystem and marshes that are co-formed by aquatic animal, terrestrial animal and habitat. In the reserve, there are totally 412 species of wild vascular plants, belonging to 69 families and 191 genera. Among them, huangqi (root of membranous milk vetch), wild soybeans, Wusuli myriophyllum verticillatum, and northeastern rough gentian are national and provincial preserved plants and have high values in economy and protection. The reserve has 228 species of amniotes, including 39 species of fish, 6 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 145 species of birds. Among them, one is the first-class national protected species, 20 are the second-class national protected. Those are all birds, taking up 11.5% of national preserved birds. There are also many species of economic animals. The nature reserve has a sophisticated ecosystem structure and various types, including shrubberies, meadows, swamps, hydrophytes, altogether 28 types. The ecosystem has many mosaic distributed types and a complicated structure, showing the diversity of the ecosystem in the reserve. The all-round marshes, bulrushes, grassland, and reservoirs offer a good ecological condition for ecological tourism. Developing ecological tourism can gain people knowledge of environment protection and humanities while they are enjoying the nature sights. The main attractions are Bird-watching Station, Water Area Touring, Marsh Sighting, Fishing Center, and Adventure in Marsh etc.

Luobei Reed Field Habitat for Wild Aquatic Birds is located in the vast patches of moisture land of Three River Plain of Luobei reed field, Laodengshan and Laodengpao areas. They are also terrains free of reverse irrigation during the raining period of the Two Rivers and Songhua River and unsuitable for exploitation as well. The vast patches of moisture land in Three River Plain have rich oil texture and broad water area with a total area of 130,000 square kms. Marshes, lakes and grass lands are pervasive. Resources like grass fields, reeds and the sweet sedges are luxuriant. Original plant covers are well kept and the place is very suitable for migratory birds to live and breathe. For hundreds of years, it has become a perching and living place of dozens of aquatic birds like Red-crowned Crane, Red Surface crane, White Crane, , Numidian Crane, White Crane, Black Stork, Red Heron, Heron, Egret, Pipa Heron, Goose, Black Swan, Mandarin Duck, Swan Goose, Bean Goose, Cranes, Red Hemp Duck, Green Neck Duck, River Seagulls ,and Songbirds such as Yellow Buttock and Forehead , Blue Buttock and Forehead and Larks ,and ferocious birds like Eagle String, White Tail, Eagles, etc. Laodeng Hill has an altitude of 76.1m, being the natural coordinate of migratory birds’ movement. Laodengpao has a water area of 36000 square kms and is the largest marsh within the area, and it is also the water area with most aquatic birds distributed. Due to its geographical location, a large number of migratory birds depart in autumn and return in spring to live and breathe. Due to the exploitation of the Three Rivers Plain in recent years for irrigating the fields, draining of floods, field exploitation and tree planting, the surrounding environment has greatly changed, which forced certain kinds of birds to go northward. It is reviewed that some kinds of birds came back here in flocks to seek for living and breathing because of maladjustment of northern environmental conditions.

Introduction:
Woniu Lake is located on the 16 kilometers of Heihu Road. It is the provincial level scenic spot of Heilongjiang Province and a famous scenery spot in the northern end of China. The lake covers a total area of 50 square kilometers and overlooks Blagovieshensk of Russia. Woniu Lake is an unpolluted place with clean, transparent and wavy water. Around the lake are meandering mountains with flourishing trees and dense forests. As no main road passes here, this place is free from noise, soot and busy traffic. In here, picturesque scenery, pleasant sight and fresh air will impress you a lot. The water of Woniu Lake, which is encompassed by mountains, ripples slightly with the wind. Sometimes, there are boats pass by. You can enjoy this dramatic scenery as long as you like. Every year, 1.5 million small fishes are put into the lake and reproduce 600 thousand of fishes. The annual catching quantity is about 75 thousand kilograms on average with the biggest quantity of 100 thousand kilograms. In the lake, you can find carp, crucian, silver carp, grass carp and cat fish. The fishing lovers could fully display their capabilities here. In winter, the frozen lake surface is a natural ice stadium. You can skate, ski, play icy sail and play sledges on the lake. In the southwest of Woniu Lake lie seven mineral springs which connect with each other like the shape of the Big Dipper. That’s why these springs are called Dipper of Springs. The springs spew naturally without any stop. The fourth spring spews out 500 tons of water everyday. The spring water contains many kinds of microelements and is the high-quality mineral water with carbonates. It is said that as early as 1930s, the mineral water of these seven springs was praised as the longevity water. In the forests around the lake, there stand various kinds of trees like pine trees, birches, oaks, plum trees and willows. In the forest you can also find medicinal materials like fruit of Chinese magnoliavine, lily and caladium. Mountain potherbs like citron day lily, hill celery and purslane are also green foods which are good for health. Besides, there are black bears, wild boar, roes, hares, lynxes, badgers, foxes and pheasants.

The Grant World of Ice and Snow was built at the bank of the Songhua River at the end of 1999. Held every year, it gathers the elite of the ice and snow arts and combines the ice and snow with recreation. It mixes the new creative ideas, artistic presentation, mass participation and recreation. It’s reputed as “the Ice and Snow Epic Picture”. Since the holding of the Grant World of Ice and Snow, the sites are always being changed. In 2001, the location of the 3rd Grand World of Ice and Snow was changed to the Western Region of the Sun Island at the north bank of the Songhua River. The Western Region covers a total area of 2,820,000 square meters, including the Grant World of Ice and Snow. A tourist holiday village is under construction at the moment, its main attraction being the building of the Four Season Amusement Park. It will take the building of the ecological natural landscape as the feature of the park. It will also eventually have a golf course up to international standards, an aquatic Amusement park, sports facilities for recreation, and a Europe-style landscape.
