Baiyun Cave Scenic Spot occupies an advantageous location with towering Taihang Mountain in her west and a boundless plain in her east. There are five sights of Baiyun Cave Scenic Spot, including Baiyun Cave, Qishan Lake, Tianhe Mountain, Pretty Heavenly Pool and seven ancient cultural and historic relics.
1. Plentiful Caves Baiyun Cave of Kongshan Mountain was formed in the middle of Cambrian Period(about 500 million years ago). It’s a rare limestone cave in the north of China. Up to now five known cave halls open to tourists, extend as long as 4,000 meters. Among them, the largest one occupies about 2,170 square kilometers. There are altogether 200 sights. The five known cave halls, linking one with another, create different atmosphere. Hence, they are named ‘the human world’, ‘the Heaven’, ‘the underworld’, ‘the palace of the Dragon King’, and ‘the Maze’ accordingly.
2. Profound religious tour for cultivating oneself through meditation Tianhe Mountain not only has steep cliffs, flat peaks, slopes, thick forests but is also influenced by strong religious atmosphere. Eight temples have been built here since Tang and Song Dynasties, such as, Ciyun Buddhist convent and XianyanTemple etc. So far, Ciyun Buddhist Convent and other temples reopened to tourists. The houses of the Miao ethnic group and Yunhai Pavilion have been built. And high-standard tour line has been rebuilt.
3. Landscapes of lakes and hills for holidays and relaxation Qishan Lake has a storage capacity of 1,700 million cubic meters. There are an ancient city built in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties and famous pagodas of China surrounded by park. Some interesting activities are held to delight tourists, such as, marching through torrents and on-water amusement. Qishan lake Garden invested 18 million Yuan, has been put into operation. In addition, more than 20 million Yuan has been invested to construct tourism and holidaymaking villas by the side of Qishan Lake.
4. Primitive second growth for summer resort The Xiaotiande scenic spot has an area of 50 square meters with an average altitude of above 1,200 meters. There are 6,700 acres of forests and 40,000 acres of primitive second growth, more than 700 types of wild plants and above 100 wild animals. Its average temperature is around 23 degrees in mid-summer. It’s an ideal place for forest exploration,, climbing and hunting, and summer holiday-making.
5. Plenty of cultural and historic relics for sightseeing and archaeological studies There are two cultural and historic relics under state protection (the cave relics of Xingtai, Pulishi Pagoda), four province-level relics, and more than sixty county-level cultural and historic relics. Some representational cultures and customs show the profound historical culture of Lincheng County, including an ancient pagoda built in Song Dynasty, a square-shaped well and a corner pavilion built in Ming Dynasty, and the worldwide-famous porcelain cave built in Tang and Song Dynasties.

Saibei Ski Resort is 218 kilometers away from Beijing, and 68 kilometers away from Zhangjiakou in Hebei Province. It covers an area of 10 kilometers and 60% of it is covered by greenery. The resort is gifted with broad terrain and high-quality grasses. The resort is 1600-2000 meters above sea level and belongs to monsoon climate of medium latitudes. Tianshan Sea World occupies an area of 60 mu (Mu is an area measure unit) and the construction area of its first phase is near to 20000 square meters. It is a large-scale recreation ground with facilities of water entertainment, fitness, leisure, food and amusement. There are drifting channels, surging pools, and slides. The construction style of the sea world is elegant and grand.

Yunmeng Mountain Scenic Spot is a high mountain of northern China style, whose main peak is above 1,300 meters high. It is a dividing line between Hebei Province and Shanxi Province. The scenic spot is surrounded by Cuiyang Mountain, Niuqun Mountain, and Jiaoding Mountain. Entering the scenic spot, you will feel as if you are entering a huge kettle with a big stomach mysteriously. You will see steep cliffs all around, barren cliffs with green trees on their tops, and a round sky above. Hence, it is called ‘a kettle-shaped fairyland’. It’s divided into four floors: the lowest one called ‘the bottom of the kettle’ with blue streams and quiet valleys, then ‘the middle of the kettle’ with steep cliffs and splashing waterfalls, ‘the upper of the kettle’ with fairy Water-Curtain Cave, and ‘the world beyond the Heaven’ also called the human world paradise.
Yunmeng Mountain has more than 80 scenic spots open to tourists. The scenic spots are closely distributed. The travel schedule is arranged appropriately thrilling but safe. Yunmeng Mountain is well-known for her waterfalls, ponds, and streams. It is a world of waterfalls and a sea of pools, which are formed by the water from the water-Curtain Cave of ‘the world beyond the Heaven’. Though the water-Curtain Cave is towering into clouds and heaven, it has abundant water resource and flows endlessly. When it brims with water, the water surges as a dragon rises out of the sea; when it becomes babbling streams, the water ripples like pearls of silver and jade. Converging two springs from the east and the west, the water of the water-Curtain Cave flows from the highest peak of Yunmeng Mountain, forming the Bailong Sream with gleams of light reflecting on waves in the water. Along its way, it roams among the green hillside, falling down the red cliffs, bypassing the pines, meandering the green grass and finally rushes into a cave. It brings Xiying Waterfall, Gunjiao Waterfall, Longlin waterfall, Sailin Pond, Huanyao Pond, Bibo Pond etc., which altogether form nine waterfallls and eighteen ponds. What’s more, there is endowed with profound cultural traditions. It’s said that a famous Taoist hermit, Gui Guzi, cultivated himself according to the Taoist doctrine and imparted knowledge to his students here in Warring States. Many other earthshaking people had themselves cultivated here, including Sun Bing, Pang Juan, Su Qin, Zhang Yi, Mao Sui. Some relics are still well preserved today, sach as, the road walked by immortals, red millstone, trace left by immortals, and cave carved with Sutra etc..

Originally named as “Bishan”, it was renamed as “Baodushan” during the period of Wei Dynasty. It got its present name later when the troops of Jin Kingdom stationed here.
Baoduzhai is a hill lying high and sole in the plain. To its east is the Hebei plain and to its west is the Taihang Mountain. The four sides of the hill are sheer cliffs and the only two ways to the top are in the northern side and the southern side of the hill. Baodushan is in a strategic and advantageous position to defend, so it has been a place of combats and wars in history. It was the ancient battlefield where General Hanxin and his troops combated with the troops of Xiangyu in Han Dynasty. Seen from afar, Baoduzhai Hill looks like a sleeping Buddha with recognizable eyes and eyebrows. The famous Taoist Zhang Shanfeng once lived in the hill and has left behind Taoism culture in the place.
The top of Baodushan Hill is flat and is about 600 mu (Mu is an area measuring unit in China) in area. The soil is fertile and the layer of soil is about 60 meters thick. With beautiful landscape, the top of the hill boasts numerous ancient relics, such as Jinque Palace, Luohan Temple, Jiulong (nine-dragon) Wall, Street in the Heaven, Immortal’s Cave, Hanxin Temple, and Defending Walls.
Baodushan has rich cultural heritages and is a place influenced both by Taoism and Buddhism. There are many Buddhism carvings, inscriptions and steles. The inscriptions and steles record some famous poems and stories. The poem titled Bishan written by Yuan Haowen in Yuan Dynasty and the poem titled Seeing Baodushan Afar written by Wang Shilu are the most famous. They also records some of the ancient people’s activities, such as praying for rain,watching the-sun-rising, traveling, banqueting and etc.

Huang Emperor Town of the ZhuoLu village was the first formal township in Chinese history in record. It was built entirely from sand and earth; it wasn’t strictly squared shaped and it has ramparts of different lengths: 450, 500, 510 and 540 meters respectively. Over the years, numerous crockery and stone instruments have been excavated. According to archaeological studies, they are invaluable relics of Yangshao Culture, a Neolithic culture that existed extensively along the central Yellow River in China from 5000 BC to 3000 BC, and Longshan Culture, a late Neolithic culture that resided near the central and lower Yellow River from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. This was the period in the reign of Huang Emperor. He was a legendary Chinese sovereign and cultural hero; he was believed to be the ancestor of all Han Chinese in Chinese mythology. Together with Huang Emperor, Yan Emperor and Chiyou, also great leaders of other two tribes at the time, are praised for their pioneering and contribution in many areas including farming, medicine, economic development and manufacturing at the very beginning of the Han Chinese community.

The memorial of the Three Chinese Ancestors has been built to pay tribute to their great achievements. Their statuses are standing in the center. The memorial was constructed with the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, which looks magnificent and majestic. There are a number of unearthed instruments, weapons and tools in display, including zax, stone arrows, stone rings and stone chisel etc. There is also a wall painting describing the four significant historical incidents of the time: the War of Zhuolu, a furious war to stop Chiyou’s aggression and consolidate Zhuolu area led by Huang Emperor with support from Yan Emperor, the War of Banquan,a conquest of Yan’s tribe led by Huang Emperor, the Hefufushan Incident,a cooperation among multiple tribes including the ones led by Huang Emperor, Yan Emperor and Chiyou, which marked the corner stone of unification of the entire China, and finally the event of making Zhuolu the capital, one of the initial political decisions made by Huang Emperor after he was elected the Emperor of the nation.

Mount Canyanshan, reputed as “most peculiar peak in the Taihangshan Ranges”, is in its eastern part. It boasts off beautiful natural scenery, vertical cliffs, tall cypress trees, murmuring streams, and pretty pavilions and pagodas. It is quiet and isolated.
There are many temples worth mentioning. Qiaoloudian Temple is one of the three hanging temples in China (the hanging temples are built on some vertical cliff supported by wooden posts). The Princess temple is the place where the princess of Emperor Yang in Sui Dynasty practiced Buddhism as a Buddhist nun. There are many other temples with beautiful construction, such as Fuqing Temple, Sleeping Buddha Statue Temple, Longyan Temple and Shigu Temple.
Mount Canyanshan is the one of the main settings in the film Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon directed by the famous director An Li and was awarded four Oscar titles in the 73th Oscar awards.

Saihanba national forest park in Chengde is a famous hunting-ground for the old royal families, and is a part of Mulan paddock. Saihanba is a mixed word of Mongolian and Chinese, which means a “”beautiful and high mountain””.
The park is north of the autonomous county of Man nationals and Mongolian nationals in Chengde paddock. It has an average altitude of 1400 meters, and has two main features of forests and grasslands as well as more than ten plateau lakes .
The park has seemingly boundless grasslands while the immense forest and the plateau with lakes so clear and inviting. The original eco-system is very well preserved, and will aid your appreciation of the charming and spectacular natural scenery The area can lay claim to more than seven hundred species of animals and plants. It is an ideal place for touring, hunting and getting relief from the summer heat of the major cities.
The scenery is especially spectacular in summer. With so many shades of green from the variety of trees and bushes that billow in the breeze, the immense forests rise and fall over the undulating countryside and the wide grassland being nearly all covered by golden flowers.
Truly a sight to be seen! Temperatures in this season are usually no more than 25 centigrade degree. It is cool and the air fresh making the park is an excellent place to avoid the intense heat.
n autumn, flaming maple leaves, golden birch leaves and the dark green pine needle-like leaves mingle all over the mountain, with nature making an extremely beautiful carpet to walk through. This also makes it the best season for colour photography.
In the cold of winter, however, it takes on another dimension altogether; the ground is a blanket of white with a capping of snow while ice pieces can hang from the bare branches of the trees,. Early mornings with the fresh snow are a great time to get out, play games and warm up making snow-men and just having fun.
Internal transportation: Because of its large area, charter buses are indeed advisable.
Best time for travelling: Every season is suitable, but it is especially fine at the end of summer and the beginning of autumn when the tree foliage begins to change colour.
Food: The park provides the local delicious national foods of Man and Mongolia, including the traditional horse milk wine, milk tofu, mutton etc. However, as a visitor, it is a good idea to bring in extra foods to suit your usual diet as there are few places you can go shopping. To have a full appreciation some of the unique regional dishes you may need to have acquired taste buds for some foods.
Accommodation: There are formal hotels in the park to provide very good accommodation services. You can also live in the house of the local farmers, or choose to live in the family hotel according to your own requirements.
