The Drum Mountain is 969 meters above sea level with beautiful scenery. It is the Buddhist place of interest in Fuzhou .In the hillside of the mountain there is an ancient temple named Spring-gushing Temple. The name was given due to the Luohan spring in front of the temple gushing out of the earth. The Spring-gushing Temple was initially built during year Kaiping , post Liang dynasty in Five Dynasties with the primary name “the house for prime minister”. In song dynasty, it was endowed the name “Spring-gushing monastery of Baiyun summit “and changed to “Spring-gushing Temple”in Ming dynasty. In Qing dynasty, the emperor Kangxi awarded the golden paint tablet on which “spring-gushing temple” was written by himself. The present temple primarily maintained the construction style in Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole temple includes Tianwang palace, Daxiong precious palace, fatang and 22 other palaces and they were built along the mountain. There are two pottery towers of thousands of Buddha in front of the temple. The name are gained owing to the 1038 Buddhist sculptures on the towers which were burnt and folded stratified by pottery earth in the fifth year of Yuanfeng, Beisong dynasty.
Drum Mountain scenic spot has 160 sceneries which are centered in “Spring-gushing temple”. The famous one “the eighteen scenes of Drum Mountain” is in the west of the temple. Although individual spots are decomposed due to sunshine and rain, most of the scenic spots can be viewed clearly and lively and almost each spot has a beautiful story to tell. Besides, there are more than 180 inscriptions on Mo cliff, which are famed for “gravestone forest of Fuzhou”.

Liukeng village is 3.61 square kilometers in area. There are altogether 820 households and 4290 people, most of who are surnamed Dong. It was initially built during Wudai South-Tang Shengyuan Period(937-942), which is over one thousand years old. Since Song Dynasty, there is altogether one civil Zhuangyuan (scholar ranking first in the national examination) and military Zhuangyuan respectively, 33 Jinshis (scholars ranking second in the national examination), 78 Jurens (scholars ranking third in the examination). Over 50 persons obtained the position of county magistrate and the highest position the LIukeng people had ever occupied is assistant administrator in the central government. Besides, Liukeng was also the hometown of one imperial doctor and a couple of experts specializing in science, religion, literary, Wushu, calligraphy, architecture, business, etc. Apart from the outstanding historical figures, there are magnificent ancient architectures with a complete collection of styles and all kinds of brilliant cultural relics such as calligraphies, paintings and engravings. According to authentication by some experts, there are 260 relics of traditional architectures of various styles in the village, 19 of which are the relics of Ming Dynasty. As for the types, there are watch tower, ancestral hall, houses, shops, temples, joss houses, torii, colleges, tombs, bridges, village walls, lakes, wells, wind-rain pavilions, towers, etc. Countless steles, couplets and household cultural antiques make the old village a valueless historical cultural treasury.

Built in 1959, the Quanzhou Overseas-relations History Museum has three feature exhibition halls: ‘Quanzhou harbor and ancient overseas relations,’ ‘Quanzhou religious stone sculpture,’ and ‘Quanzhou Bay Ancient Ships.’ The Overseas-relations museum displays historical facts such as the maritime activities of Quanzhou for the past two thousand years, Zheng He’s expedition to the western seas during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, overseas Chinese going abroad, commercial trade, the blending of beliefs and folk customs, etc. The Quanzhou religious sculptures exhibition is composed of four parts, displaying religions of Islam, ancient Christian, Hinduism and Manicheism. The most outstanding one is the relics of Islam, which ranks first for its quantities and content. The Quanzhou Bay Ancient Ships exhibition hall in the Kaiyuan Temple exhibits a Fujian ocean-going wooden yacht built in the 13th century and excavated in 1974,in which there are 14 kinds of Artifacts excavated from the ocean-going vessel, such as fragrance and flavour material, medicinal materials, wooden products plates (labels), bronze or iron money, ceramic ware, etc.

Ten-thousand Stone Mountain is a mountain with picturesque landscape in the urban areas of Xiamen. It is a part of Gulangyu-Ten-thousand Stone Mountain, the national-level scenic spot and historic site, including Taiping Mountain, Semi-ridge Mountain, Zhongyan Mountain, Balcony Mountain and Waiqing Mountain, Five Gentlemen Mountain, Bell Mountain, Drum Mountain, Tiger Mountain, etc, covering a building area of 32.96 square kilometers.
The mountain is scattered with many ancient Xiamen landscape, such as “Ten-thousand Hu (hand-board in ancient time) pointing the sky”, “Laughing Rock of Peace”, “Jade Hu in Middle Rock”, “Qin Cave of Reading aloud”, “Purple cloud Gaining the Path, “Morning bell in Heaven”, “Night Moon at Tiger Brook”, “White Deer Retaining Smoke”, “Afterglow at the Balcony”, “Sounds of Pines at Longevity Mountain”. Of which a few have passed into oblivion and most are well protected with constant shimmering bright. There is a “lock clouds” stone where Zheng Chenggong, a national hero, in order to resist Qing Dynasty and resume the sovereignty of Taiwan, maneuvered to trap and kill Zhenglian who entrenched Xiamen to seize the military leadership. There are also the reading place of Zheng Chenggong and his military camps, the stone house where Chen An, the grandfather of Xiamen during the Tang Danysty, read and wrote and his fishing rock and the historic sites, such as the “Holy Spring” where the crownling of South Song drank spring scooped up with both hands when passing by Xiamen.
Began in 1982 and completed in 1988, more than 400 cliff carvings by the nationally known calligraphers, Sha Menghai, Fei Xinwo, Lai Shaoqi, Liu Haisu and Yuyu and the Xiamen calligrapher, Luo Dan as well as Liang Piyun from Macau and Xueshan from Japan, which forms a new forest of tablet and adds new cultural connotations to Ten-thousand Stone Mountain.
On the Ten-thousand Stone Mountain there are also 11 temples of different scales, including Lotus Temple of Ten-thousand Stone, rock in cloud temple, Peace Rock Temple, Tiger Brook Rock, White Deer Cave Temple, purple bamboo forest temple, Longevity rock temple, Nectar temple, etc. The female student department of South Fujian Buddhist institute is founded in Purple bamboo forest temple. Buddhist culture and Gardening plants culture blend harmoniously together, forming a unique sight.
The other scenic spots in Ten-thousand Stone Botanical Garden are Laughing Rock of Peace, Tiger Brook Rock, Morning Bell in Heaven, Ten-thousand Hu (hand-board in ancient time) Pointing the Sky, White Deer Cave, New Forest of Tablet, Elephant-nose Peak and Lock Clouds Stone, etc.

Wuyi Mountain is known for its crystal water and Danxia landform. In Wuyi Mountain, tourists can not only enjoy the beautify scenery, but also feel the profound culture. This attraction is integrated with science, art and appreciation. It is mainly composed of forestry area, plant nursery , greenhouse, gardens for special kind of plants and resting area. Among them, gardens for special kind of plants are divided into cycad garden, palm garden, rare plants garden ,bamboo garden, wood garden, flowers and Bonsai garden and banyan garden scenic area. The gardens consist of nearly 3000 kinds of rare and precious plants from all over the country and 36 other countries and areas. There is a banyan tree in resting area which is said to be planted in year Zhiping, Beisong dynasty during plantation activity initiated by the chief of Fuzhou prefecture Zhangbaiyu. The old banyan has a chest measurement of about10 meters and a height of about20meters. The crown is like a large umbrella covering an area of over1300 square meters. The tree is regarded as “the king of banyan”.

Introduction to Longkong Cave:
As a place of interests at the provincial level, Longkong Cave is characterized by Karst physiognomy and it came in to form through three ocean and lithosphere movements as well as continued evolutions in Paleozoic period 300 million years ago. Longkong Cave was first found in Tang Dynasty and was then visited by many tourists in different dynasties. By now Longkong Cave could be divided into three layers— the upper , the middle, and the lower with a huge area of 54,000? ; there are eight halls, sixteen minor cavities and sixty-four scenic spots, constituting a tour line of over 3000 meters; hills, cavities and waters are co-existed with each other and some cavities are even connected with each other in a cascade way; large and small stalactites in various shapes display to the tourists a scene of mystery.
Longkong Cave is a stalactite scenic spot with a weald style. It is surrounded by a group of mountains with misty clouds and a forest of bamboos. The cave is 50 meters deep and divided into three layers: the upper, the middle and the lower. Larger cavities hug the smaller ones in a flexural and labyrinthine manner. There are 16 minor cavities connected with each other, like a huge natural maze. The minor cave in the front, which seems like a lobby room, has a capacity of over 50 people. Crossing the Sanxian Door, one will find rock beds, elephants, monkeys, eagles, snakes and frogs, etc. Among the 16 minor cavities, the largest one is Kwan-yin Cave which can hold 1000 people; a stalactite statue of Kwan-yin stands elegantly on the wall, with the stalactite Taishang Laojun (a male immortal character in Journey to the West) on the right, a big stalactite furnace (a Refining Furnace of Taishang Laojun) and the water-curtain cave (the palace of Monkey King in Journey to the West) at the back, as well as an underground river of 0ver 300 meters long. At the center of the major cave lie two rock cows in the water and the rock terraces there constitute beautiful scenery of country life. Moreover, there are other scenic spots like Dragon Well, Dragon Egg Rock, Dragon Beard Waterfall, sleeping Lion Rock and Dragon Pond, etc. Many experts have come here for investigation after which the Longkong Cave is reputed as the ‘The Best Cave in East China”.

This scenic area is a typical tertiary volcanic geographic park, which covers 100 square kilometers. The well preserved remaining crater of Niutou Mountain has an entire eruption vestige and clear structure. The volcano fumaroles group in Linjin Island are rarely seen anywhere in the world. The column-shaped basalts on Nanding Island and scale-like stone pits are majestic and spectacular. There are about 1,400,000 huge peristeles on the Nanding Island, lying on the cliffs of the island at 20 to 50 meters high. They look like a row of black threads drooping over the sea water, making you feel too many excellent things to be fully appreciated all at once.
The secret workings of nature have made numerous unique volcanic geographical wonders here, such as the arched folded strata, scale-like rocks, lava “corals”, blowhole “Plum Blossom Stumps”, the structure of Eight-Diagrams-like volcanic vents, abstract gallery, Queen cone-like volcano, lava plat roof, marine abrasion holes, marine abrasion cliffs, marine abrasion mushrooms, abrasion “Gleam of the heaven”, abrasion “Forget to Return Rock”, “Turtle Rock”, volcano puff ports of strings of beads shape, lotus flower plate, and so on..
